This  large antique Asian black lacquer cabinet has 8 doors that are all flush with the framework. The 4 upper doors have painted designs that look gilded at a distance, but are mostly shades of brown & tan. The paintings are of mountains and landscape scenes. The 4 lower doors have paintings of flower vases. The outside edges of the doors and the front framework of the cabinet have assorted painted designs. There is also a lot of Chinese calligraphy on the upper doors, which is a common practice in paintings depicting landscapes.

This piece really shows the talent of the maker and finisher of the cabinet, and is really a one of a kind find.  This cabinet would become the focal point of any room it is placed in.
