Antique Chinese 51 in long low Kang Cabinet 5 Drawer.

This Antique Kang cabinet / table has a flush panel top with small raised flanges on each end. The Flanges have a little scroll design carved into the front. There is a   stepped in molded edge on the front and sides of the top.

The cabinet has 5 drawers with flush fronts. There are 3 drawers across the top row. The lower row has 2 smaller drawers and 2 small fixed panels. The framework around the drawers has a rounded over front with a small beading on the edges. This pattern transitions nicely as it intersects the front legs which have a a similar design on each side with a flat section in the center.

On the outside of the front legs is a nicely carved spandrel. There is an apron between the front legs with a molded bead on the bottom edge.

This piece looks great at the foot of a bed. I provides dome storage and also acts as a low bench. It also makes a very unusual coffee table.

This Antique Chinese Kang cabinet appears to retain it’s original hardware.
