Antique Chinese Furniture from Asian Country Antiques.

Asian Country Antiques is an independently owned small business in Charlotte, NC  that specializes in Antique Chinese Furniture.  We carry a large selection of Chinese antique furniture and accessories from the Qing Dynasty. We also carry some vintage and reproduction pieces. Asian Country Antiques sells to retail customers, as well as to designers and architectural firms. Many of our pieces have been used in major movies and TV shows, and we do offer rental for those needs.

Our History:

We started Asian Country Antiques in 2006. It actually started when Arlene, my wife came home with an antique Chinese cabinet. Our house it a very period correct Williamsburg colonial, but it was immediately apparent that antique Chinese furnishings mixed very well with our other antiques. It was while we were acquiring some other antique Chinese furniture that we felt there was an opportunity here for a small business. We started out in a shared retail space in Charlotte and were please with the results. Around 2009, with the economy taking a down turn, the space we were occupying was no longer available so we decided to move our inventory to a warehouse. We have been operating mostly as an internet business since then, although we are happy to meet our customers by appointment. We run a very personal business and when you call or email you will dealing directly with me.

Other Ways to Buy From Us:

Since exposure for a small internet based niche market company can be challenging, we also sell on eBay. Although we do typically sell for more on eBay to cover our fees, if you prefer to purchase on eBay, our store can be found here. You can also search for our eBay Store, Asian_Country_Antique_Furniture.

We have a 100% positive feedback rating on eBay, and you can also see testimonials from our customers who have purchased from our website on our Customer’s Testimonial page.

If you are looking for a unique piece of furniture for your decor, consider adding a Chinese antique. Our typical customer does not decorate their entire home in an Asian theme, but rather they mix in one or two pieces as accents or focal points.

We now offer FREE WHITE GLOVE SHIPPING for most furniture pieces to the 48 states. Please see our “shipping information” page for more details.  We do offer discounts when pieces are picked up at our warehouse or for deliveries within a 50 mile radius of our Charlotte warehouse, so please call first to schedule a pickup time or to discuss pricing.  We also ship to certain parts of Canada. When we are pre-selling a container of antique Chinese furniture, I use the photos that are sent to me from China. These are typically not the most detailed, but they do serve their purpose.

Once a piece arrives in our warehouse, I personally take and edit all the photos. I try to take as many photos as necessary to give an accurate representation of each piece. When I see something that may be considered detrimental I try to show closeup details. My photos all start out in high resolution. Google’s uses website page load speed in ranking websites, Images have a large affect on speed so they are compressed after they are uploaded. This compression can cause some loss of clarity that is beyond my control. If you need to see better photos please ask and I will email you larger, uncompressed files. Also don’t hesitate to ask for a more detailed photo of a specific part of a piece you may want to see.

Accurate color representation is important and we try to be as close a possible. Not all monitors, tablets or phones show color exactly the same. Please understand there may be some slight variation from the photos and the actual piece.
